Projects Undertaken # Project Title : DIMAN LAPTOP SYSTEM Duration : 6 Months Software & Tools used : Visual Basic 6.0, HTML/DHTML, VBScript, JavaScript, MTS Back End : SQL Server and MS-Access Team Size : 5 Nos. Project Highlights : The application is being designed to allow a salesman to create customers, items and sales orders through an installed application on a Laptop as well as through a site on the web. The application stores the information in a local database, which is synchronized with the Main SQL Database as and when required. The final approval of the new orders, customers and items would be done on the SQL Server and the information is synchronized back with the Laptop User. My Role : I was Project Leader and involved in the Designing, Coding and Testing of the Project within the specific Time span. # Project Title : DIMAN SYSTEM Duration : 3 Months Software & Tools used : Visual Basic 6.0, Back End : SQL Server Team Size : 2 Nos. Project Highlights : This project was specifically designed for Creating and Backing up the database in the SQL Server by specifying the name and size of the Database, Log Device and the Data Device, parameters like temp device, number of connections that the users can make to the database, through the templates made in Excel. My Role : I was Project Leader and involved in the Designing, Coding and Testing of the Project within the specific Time span. # Project Title : PROPAGATOR Duration : 3 Months Software & Tools used : Visual Basic 6.0 (ActiveX Control), Windows API Team Size : 2 Nos. Features : Key Generator for Registering DEMO Version Project Highlights : This project was designed for downloading the files from an FTP Site by specifying the Site Name, User Name, Password, Port Number and the Initial folder name from where the listing of the sub folders and files will start, and updating the machines available in the Local Network with the latest files by specifying the Share Folder Names that must be available on the selected machines, by maintaining the directory structure from where the file would be downloaded. This program also copies selected files from the local machine to the Shared Folders available on the machines on the Local Network by specifying the file attributes like “Overwrite Files”, “Prompt User for action”, “Preserve Existing Files”, “Overwrite if Version is Latest”, and “Overwrite if Date is latest”. This program unzips the selected zip files while downloading the files from FTP Site and copying zip files from local machine. Project Highlights : The application is built to automate the receiving of mails from subscribers and to create newsletters and send them to all the other subscribers at a scheduled day and time. It maintains a list of subscribers and the subscriber can automatically subscribe and unsubscribe to the newsgroups by mailing in and also get copies of any required back issues. Projects Undertaken # Project Title : TOLL FEE COLLECTION SYSTEM Duration : 2 Months Clients : National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) Software & Tools used : ADO 2.0, ADODC 6.0 (OLEDB), and Microsoft Windows Common Control-2 [6.0 (DTPicker)], Functions, General Procedures. Project Highlights : The proposed system is intended to computerize the functioning of the Toll Fee Collection centers on the Kotputli-Ajmer (NH-8) for the National Highway Authority of India. The system caters to the basic requirements and needs of Printing of Toll ticket and report generation for the Toll Fee collection activity at their site on the Kotputli-Ajmer (NH-8) stretch. The system was designed based on the initial system studies conducted at the IT department of the NHAI’s Head office. This Project contains Logon screen, Ticket Processing Module (in which the operator can make his selection and print the toll fee ticket on the pre-printed stationary, Supervisor’s Option Module from where 6 types of Reports can be printed. They are: 1. Total Collection Reports 2. Shift Wise Collection Reports 3. Operator Wise Collection Report 4. Vehicle-Type Wise Collection Report 5. Ticket-Type Wise Collection Reports 6. Vehicle-Type Wise Traffic Pattern All the reports can be taken Day Wise, Week Wise, Fortnight Wise, Month Wise, Quarterly Wise, Half-Yearly Wise, and Yearly Wise as well as any user defined period by specifying from and to date which will be any combination. This system consists 3 main modules. They are (1) Purchase Order, 2) Master and (3) Reports. Sub-modules come under Purchase Order modules are Orders, Costing sheets, Platform, Shipment, Labeling and Packing. Master module includes Style Master, Customer Master, Buyer Master, Currency Master and Activity. Reports module is used for developing various reports based on user requirement. The aim of developing this system is to make Payslips, get personal information of employees and generate various reports. This system consists of 3 modules. They are (1) Master, (2) Transaction, and (3) Reports. Master module contains sub modules, Employee Master, Company Master, PF, ESI, Loan, grade, Earning/Deduction and Medical/LTC. Transaction module contains sub modules Attendance, Pay, Update Master with Leaves/Loans, Export to Account, Audit/Trail. Report module is for developing various monthly, quarterly, six monthly and yearly reports like Payslips, Reimbursement, Salary and Wages Register etc. My Role : I was involved with developing Master and Transaction Module. My role was Screen developing, coding and testing. Testing includes unit testing and integrated testing.
